Benefits
Vi-Jon’s benefit program generally includes health care, dental, disability, and life protection. Once hired, you will be eligible for these benefits after a short waiting period. The Company pays for certain benefits; others are on a cost share basis. The associate’s share of the cost is handled through a payroll deduction.
In addition to the benefits listed in the above, the company provides other benefits for our associates such as company sponsored lunches and a company store.
Regular full-time associates are eligible for up to 10 holidays each year in which you are employed. One holiday that is included is the recognition of the birthday of our Founder, John B. Brunner.
Once hired associates become eligible for vacation after six months of continuous employment, and personal time on their 91-day of employment. Associates can carry up to 120 hours from one year to the next of combined vacation/personal time. The amount of vacation earned by the associate will increase after they have been with the company 6, 12, 20, and 25 years.
Vi-Jon offers a competitive health care plan to help take care of you and your family during times of need. Prescription drugs, dental, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance are also available. The company currently provides the cost for the associate’s medical coverage. Some plans do require associates to contribute, through payroll deduction, in order to participate.
Associates are eligible to participate in Vi-Jon’s 401(k) plan after they have reached 6 months of continued employment. You may contribute up to 60 percent of your base pay on a pretax basis. In addition, the company matches a portion of your contributions, which are vested after 5 years, helping your retirement savings plan grow faster.
