Vi-Jon, LLC, maker of the Germ-X® brand hand sanitizer and other personal care products sold under various store brands, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Susan Lanigan as a new independent director, effective January 1, 2021. Ms. Lanigan is the former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Dollar General Corporation.

“Susan is an experienced business leader with strong knowledge of store brands and demonstrated success helping to transition and grow several large companies,” said Richard Koulouris, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Vi-Jon. “We are excited to have Susan join our Board and look forward to her contributions as we continue to execute on our long-term strategies.”

Ms. Lanigan serves on the boards of directors of Kirkland’s Inc., a retailer of home décor, and Simmons First National Corporation, a financial holding company offering banking and credit services through locations in seven states and online. Ms. Lanigan retired in 2018 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Chico’s FAS and in 2013 from Dollar General Corporation after having spent 11 years with the company.
